Welcome to Number 12 bar & restaurant

Number 12 bar and restaurant, previously know as Le Rouen, is a classic mix of traditional 17^th century architecture and contemporary chic. With its wooden floorboards, beamed ceilings and quirky old-style walls the building in itself oozes charm and character; but it’s the calming colour schemes, streamlined furnishings and modern artwork that really gives this venue its own identity.

Situated in close proximity to Norwich’s extensive range of shops, local businesses and close to the grounds of Norwich castle, Number 12 is in an ideal location to recharge with a bite to eat while shopping, unwind after a stressful day at work or relax in the company of friends. Choose from the informal front bar or sit back in comfort on luxury leather in the back rooms.

As well as an extensive line of beverages - including well-known lagers, local real ales, various wines and boozy cocktails - Number 12 also offers food dishes to meet all tastes. At lunchtime choose from traditional favourites such as chunky sandwiches and home-made soups or by evening delve into classics such as rib-eye steak, ‘posh’ shepherd’s pie and Number 12’s own home-made burgers & pizzas.

If, however, you want to enjoy the night-time views of Norwich castle, Number 12’s upstairs restaurant has a varied contemporary menu. Sample the infused flavours of indulgence without the hefty price tag of fine dining, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of your table for the whole evening - there is only one sitting, so no need to hurry!
